Item Details

Description

An Extremely Rare and Excellent Quality Majolica ‘Shells’ Teapot and Cover. The ovoid body and spout formed as brightly glazed oyster and clam shells with pink coral handle, the cover formed as a clam shell with a twisted shell finial and all supported on a base of bright blue sea. Although the manufacturer of this teapot cannot be certain, there is no doubt that the quality and design is first class.
