A Rare and Desirable George Jones Majolica ‘Sphinx’ Centrepiece Bowl c.1875. Modelled as a cobalt blue ground shaped oval bowl with scroll top decorated with large white anthemion with a green decorated collar with a central floret, all supported by two sphinx facing outwards and stood on a mottled green and brown ground pedestal base with a yellow band with white gadrooning.
