A group of late Victorian clothing, including tan striped taffeta gown, floral sprigged gauze dress both mid-late 1860s; ivory and lilac satin bodice, 1870s; dove-grey and blue silk late 1870s gown; black cutwork and beaded cape, assorted bodices, satin shoes and others (qty)

• Mixed condition • 1865 striped tan taffeta- heavily altered and black satin trim is very worn at cuffs, large repaired split above left cuff and lacking a button. ‘Apron’ panel has stains to left hip area. Silk has been removed from skirt to make narrower. Split and small holes above side pocket and rear waist. Bust 32in, waist 24in. • Black beaded wool capelet c.1890, good condition, no problems. • Brown wool and brocaded bodice- bust 32in, waist 22in, small holes in wool at underarms, otherwise good. Label ‘S Fowlter and Sons, Bloomsbury’. • Lilac and white satin bodice c.1870- badly faded, lacking seven buttons, fraying at chest and collar, ripped at underarms, poor. Bust 32in, waist 24in. • Black damask bodice and beads c.1910- good condition. Bust 34in, waist 24in. • Black damask bodice and beads c. 1910 by ‘AJ Wilson Portman Sq’- lacking a button, otherwise very fresh. Bust 34in, waist 26in. • Black gauze and lilac cotton bodice- holes in gauze. Bust 36in, waist 30in. • Sprigged wool gauze c.1860- faint perspiration stains and slight thinning at underarms. Gathers at waist have been let out- waistband widened. Generally good condition. Bust 34in, waist 26in. • Indigo calico coat c.1910- good condition, no problems • Late 1870s tan silk and purple satin dress- very dirty/soiled appearance. Generally numerous stains on bodice, sleeve and down the front of the dress generally, back is clean. Bust 30in, waist 22in.
