Superbly carved head figure from the Classical Roman Antiquity. It sits on a modern red display pedestal. Depicts a Satyr or Fawn, a common being of Greco-Roman Mythology and Art. Made from a carved lime stone. Roman, Gallo-Roman III-IV Century AD. Measurements: Approx. 10" x 8" x 7.5" only the head, without pedestal. 15" tall with pedestal

Good overall state of preservation, ready for display. Looks like his left horn was re-attached at some point, visible from the back only.
