Description
Continental, 20th century. Diminutive cloisonne enamel desk weather station with bronze case with beveled glass fronts (hinged doors to access movement at back) with fluted columnar baluster supports throughout, floral and patterned cloisonne enamel work throughout case and surrounding white dials--one with black Roman numerals for time of day, the other noting barometric conditions reading "STORMY MUCH PAIN PAIN CHANGE FAIR SET FAIR VERY DRY". Desktop weather station accompanied with key for winding movement. Approximate height 5.5", width 5", depth 2.25".
Condition
Clock apparently in working condition, but unable to accurately test barometer. Would recommend servicing. Bronze case overall in very good condition with some general patina and wear. All glasses appear original, left glass with minor interior crack, right front glass slightly loose. Cloisonne with minor pitting throughout, some corners with minor loss. Retains original key.
