Description
Erte (Romain de Tirtoff, Russia & France, 1892-1990), circa 1989. Limited Edition bronze sculpture entitled "Madame Butterfly", depicting the Japanese geisha wife named Cio-Cio-San known as Madame Butterfly standing in pink, silver and gold wedding kimono holding a fan aloft in her right hand. Back of gown incised with the artist's signature, the black base with edition number 395/500, published by Seven Arts Edition, London. Height 18.75", width 12", depth 5.25".
