Description
R & S Garrard (English, 1835-1843). An early Victorian Period sterling silver tea pot of pear form with ribbed body and lid, c form handle to one side adorned with two discs of bone, and an upturned spout to opposing side. Marked to underside of body with 925 standard mark, city mark for London, Queen Victoria duty mark (1838-1890), and date mark for 1843, as well as retailer's mark "Garrards, Panton Street, London"; marked to underside of lid with standard and date marks beside "R S" under a crown for Robert Garrard II. Approximate height 5.25", spout to handle 7.5". Total approximate weight 14.09 troy ounces.
