Description
A fine copy of this important work on the conquest of Peru, in late 18th century crown quarto brown calf board (8.25 x 13.25 inches), written in Spanish by Lasso de la Vega (Garcia) with full title being The Royal Commentaries of Peru in Two Parts, translated by Paul Rycaut, one of four variant imprints of the first edition in English, title in red and black, engraved portrait of Rycaut and 10 plates, 1019pp, published by Miles Flesher for Christopher Wilkinson, London, 1688.
Condition
As above with some minor 20th century repairs, front board is loose and minor wear to some page edges, over-all Very Good Copy with all plates.
