A 6.5 x 9 inch albumen photograph mounted on original grey card stock (11 x 14 inch) showing this large hotel with name on sign between 2nd & 3rd floors with railroad station in foreground with cars from the Portland and Ogdensburg Railroad in yard. The Fabyan House, in Coos Co., N.H., in the White Mountains region is a grand hotel built by Sylvester Marsh and his colleagues, who also built the nearby Mount Washington Cog Railway. The hotel burned in 1951 (Wikipedia 2015).
