Description
A pair of Egyptian faience amulets, Ptolemaic Period, c. 332 – 30 BC, the first a standing amulet of the god Anubis, H: 32mm, and the goddess Bastet in feline-form, L: 17mm. Both well-preserved, the glossy black glaze contrasting with the yellow addition. Ex Hamdy Sakr collection, London, acquired in the 1960’s - 1970’s.
