Description
A late 17th/early 18th century Dutch Delft blue and white jar and cover, the ovoid body painted with four panels of deer below foliate vignettes on a diamond diaper ground on the ribbed shoulders, the cover with Buddhist lion finial, its surprised facial details picked out in red, A J K monogram, possibly for a member or the Kocx family, 53cm (21 in) high (2) (D)
Condition
The cover finial has been off and restored back together with corners of the octagonal lid. The body has two cracks down its side and the rims are chipped
