Beatles Book Monthly No. 1 (August 1963) and 1964 Calendar (UK, 1963). Two early and original UK fan items. The first, an issue of the official magazine for Beatle fans, The Beatles Book Monthly, 6.5" x 8", twenty-eight pages. The press run for this first issue was 80,000 which, within a few months, would grow to 330,000; the magazine was published until 1970. The publisher of Beatles Monthly issued this rare calendar for 1964, available through mail order for 7 shillings (w/postage) as noted in the included original advertisement. The wire-bound calendar is 9" x 11.5" and contains a different photo for each month, some in color, as well as horoscopes. Magazine Fine, with a small hole punched through all pages at top left; calendar has soiling and wear on the cover, but internally is also Fine. From the Uwe Blaschke Beatles Collection.
