Description
The Pennsylvania Railroad used the "knobby" switch keys for many years. They are thick and well made. The Oct 2010 issue of Key Lock & lantern magazine has an article showing all of the divisional markings for these keys. I am not sure if he "J" in the serial number is also a divisional mark. The serial number is "J3023". This key is unusual because it is a Fraim Slaymker () hallmark. This key shows little if any pocket wear.
A guy who knows more about PR Knobbys than I has informed me that the single character designations on PRR keys is a sequence designation and not a Region/Division marking. The divisional keys will have 2 characters. Please try to remember that we should all try to learn something new each day!
