English George III Inlaid Mahogany Linen Press, 19th c., the broken arch bonnet top over a dentillated frieze, above two inlaid doors, opening to four sliding oak shelves, on a base with two frieze drawers above two graduated long drawers on ogee bracket feet, H.- 92 in., W.- 48 in., D.- 24 in.
Condition
As found. There is consistent cracking and some losses noted throughout the veneer. Some losses to the molded decoration are noted throughout. Some apparent repairs are observed to the crown. One drawer handle now lacking but the hardware appears to be original. Some warping is noted to the right door. There are notable scrapes to the sides. A nice example.
