This large Chinese cachepot dates around 1900 and was made of porcelain. It is painted in the colors of the Famille Noire and stands on a narrow, round base rim, which carries the bulbous body. The latter forms a short neck and a flat mouth edge. The wall is decorated with floral ornaments in polychrome colors as well as with revolving borders. A pair of birds in a bright plumage can be found on the branch of a plum tree. On the base a three-character mark visible.



The cachepot is in good condition with usual signs of age and use. Manufacturing flaw inside, small scratches and little color wear can be seen here and there. The height is 26 cm and the diameter measures 27.5 cm. (lvp)
