Pierre Jules Mene (French, 1810-1879). "Chasse au Lievre dans les Vignes (Hare Hunting in the Vineyard)" - 1872, cast bronze, signed and dated to right side of plinth. Highly detailed cast bronze sculpture depicting two hunting hounds or dogs, one with head lowered and clutching a rabbit in its jaw as the other stands above him and peers down, the figures set to a naturalistic ovular base with grape vines covered in leaves and fruit clusters.
