Late 19th/early 20th century, each signed ''Beitien'', each centered by a hand-painted rectangular plaque, the first depicting Venus holding a bow in one hand and a quiver of arrows behind her back, taunting Cupid, while a herm looks on; the other depicting cupid and a maiden beside a stone fountain, each within a rectangular acanthus-cast espagnolette-topped gilt-bronze frame issuing three J-form candlearms from the lower border, each terminating in a festooned urn-form socket inset with a faux candle, 2 pieces, electrified, the first: 28'' H x 13.25'' W x 7.5'' D; the second: 27'' H x 13.25'' W x 8.25'' D, est: $1000/1500
