Description
Pre-Columbian, Mexico, Vera Cruz, ca. 400 to 600 CE. A very large and showy standing warrior! Despite his several shortcomings, this is still one nice piece of ancient pottery! In terracotta, standing warrior wearing helmet attached with chin strap, large loin cloth and necklace. His shoulders have large nodes - a type of tattooing, with clearly delineated teeth and painted pupils in his expressive eyes. Size: 21-1/2" H x 8" W.
