A small filming miniature of the U.S.S. Buran used as part of the Starfleet defense's against the Borg in the landmark Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Best of Both Worlds Part II". This ship can be seen alongside various other Starfleet ships in the large battle sequences during the show, and also used in the different starship "graveyard" scenes featured in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. It was created by the production using a commercially available plastic AMT model kit, with production made pieces. It was painted and "damaged" by the crew, with applied vinyl detailing. This piece remains in an overall excellent condition and measures 12" x 8" x 4". From the collection of Gary Hutzel.
