Oval Tray and Two Soup Bowls
Chinese, late 18th/early 19th century: oval platter monogrammed "JJBS"(?) within a shield, bordering circular center with memorial to Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette, profiles flanking brown memorial urn, weeping trees with blue and gold border, 1-1/4 x 10-1/4 x 13-1/4 in., loss to gilding and some loss to blue enamels, center in good condition; two circular soup plates, similar design and decoration, 1-5/8 x 9-5/8 in., one with small repairs to rim, loss to gilding, minor loss to blue decoration, both centers good condition . Provenance: From the Collection of a South Carolina Museum
