RARE FINE Pair of Qing Dynasty Period Chinese Cloisonne Duck Candle Holders.
The candle holder in form of white cloisonne Duck supported a three banded round dish, stand elegantly upon a humble tortoise. The finely enameled ducks decorated with gilt feathers againts white ground; larger dish as a pedestal decorated with lishui water motifs surrounded by four rock work formation, the rim encircled with vivid red and green chilong dragons against turquoise blue ground. Gilt banded on rim.The underside having water foliage motifs. rised on four ruyi shaped legs. The cloisonne decorating has been done with impressive fluency and detail.
Mark on base, perceptible four seal script -ZhuanShu- Character, QianLong Reign Period, and of period.
