An early 20th century 14ct gold amethyst and diamond hinged bangle. The circular-shape amethyst, with graduated old-cut diamond sides, atop the openwork tapered bangle. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Inner diameter 6cms. Weight 14.9gms.

Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and small dents in keeping with general age and wear. Bars of bangle appear slightly dented to the back-half. Claws bent, some with wear, some possible replacement gems, settings may require attention. Diamonds bright and well matched. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Small, scattered inclusions. Amethyst is a medium slightly pinkish purple hue, well saturated, with slight colour zoning and good clarity. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions.
