A late 19th century micro mosaic brooch. The oval-shape panel, depicting St. Pauls square, within a black surround. Length 4cms.

Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Crack to the black glass surround, extending into the micro mosaic and running almost the entire length, few associated tesseri deficient. Further crack to other side of glass, small nicks. Reverse of panel with black enamel base metal cover. Surround suspected thickly rolled gold.
