CHARLES "TEX" WATSON(b. 1945)
American murderer and former member of the Charles Manson "Family". Watson has been considered to have been Manson's right hand man on the nights of the Tate/LaBianca murders as well as at Spahn Ranch and Barker Ranch where the Manson Family resided. Watson was found guilty of the murders of seven people and sentenced to life in 1971. Important D.S., 1p. oblong 8vo., the actual fingerprint card from Watson's 1970 arrest for the Tate-LaBianca murders at the time of his extradition to California. The 8" x 8" official FBI fingerprint card bears twenty prints and Watson's signature "Charles Denton Watson", taken at the Sheriff's Office", McKinney, Texas. The card is also signed and dated Sep. 3, 1970 by two L.A.P.D. detectives assigned to the Sharon Tate murder case who had been sent to McKinney to receive Watson for transport back to Los Angeles. Fine condition. Watson had fled to McKinney where it is said relatives in law enforcement helped stall his extradition for nine months. The very prints on this card were used to tie inextricably tie Watson to the murder scene. Fine condition.
