Description
Pre-Columbian, Panama, Gran Cocle, Conti style, ca. 600 to 800 CE. Lovely footed vessel consisting of deep round bowl atop a conical base. Interior painted in shades of red, black, purple and tan with twin avians (Toucan perhaps with long beaks) and separated by a deep red band. Size: 8-7/8" in diamter x 5-1/2"H.
Provenance: Ex-private Rousseau collection, acquired prior to 1984.
