AMERICAN SCHOOL (19TH CENTURY) LANDSCAPE PAINTING, oil on canvas, a luminous depiction of a mountain valley and lake with cattle grazing in a field and sailboat on the water. No signature located. Housed in a period gilt frame with molded-composition embellishment. Third quarter 19th century. 13 3/4" x 19 1/2" sight, 21 1/2" x 27" OA.

Provenance: From an Alexandria, VA private collection.

Condition

Very good condition overall. Cleaned, relined (on original stretchers), and revarnished during prior conservation. Wear and small losses to frame.
