Description
An early twentieth century silver christening mug, the part fluted body rising to the applied girdle, personal inscription and everted rim, hallmarked Harrods Stores Ltd (Richard Burbridge), London 1916, height measuring 3 inches (7.5 cm). Together with an Edwardian silver christening mug, hallmarked Minshull & Latimer, Birmingham 1902. Gross weight 7.5 ozt (236 grams). (2).
Condition
The lot displays general scratches, marks wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Edwardian hallmarks are a little rubbed. No engravings to the Edwardian example.
