Description
A late Victorian 18ct gold Scottish agate, amethyst and citrine brooch. Of openwork design, the oval-shape citrine and amethyst collets, to the scrolling engraved panel, with agate curved sides. Length 6.4cms. Weight 22gms.
Condition
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general age and wear. Localised scratches and discolouration to the back, near the clasp hook. Pin possibly base metal. The amethyst and citrines have light surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges. Agate has light abrasion, one chipped in the corner.
