FREE-BLOWN KEROSENE STAND LAMP, starch blue alabaster pyriform font with gilt scroll decoration, fiery opalescent base with gilt decorated bands, No. 2 fine-line collar with threaded and patented filling aid adapter, brass connector. Fitted with a period setup comprising a No. 2 E. F. Jones lip burner, thumbwheel marked "E. F. JONES PATENT MAY 4, 1858 / REISSUE JAN 11 1859.", with a Merrill's air director, marked "R. S. MERRILL'S PATENT. JUNE 14. 1859.", 4 1/4" standard shade ring, colorless and frosted ball-form shade with floral engraving. Non-period lip chimney. Third quarter 19th century. 19 1/8" H to top of shade, 11 1/2" H to top of collar, 4 1/2" SQ base. Shade 6 1/8" H, 4 1/8" D fitter.

Condition
Undamaged lamp with expected moderate wear to gilt decoration. Shade fitter with a minor flake which does not affect the profile and is hidden by the shade ring, remaining components undamaged.
