THE EMPRESS RAINDROP AIR-TRAP MOTHER-OF-PEARL SATIN MINIATURE OIL LAMP, blue, circular squatty base with matching ball shade; period dated "FEB'Y 27, 1877" burner, shade ring and chimney. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 8 1/4" H to top of shade, base 3 1/2" to top of collar.
Literature: Smith - Miniature Lamps I, p. 240, fig. 601.
Provenance: Collection of Rick Hornwood of Camarillo, CA.

Condition

Top rim of shade has a 1/8" bruise and fleabites, some staining to top and bottom rim. Darker blue line running front top to bottom, as made. Base undamaged, some staining around collar. Chimney undamaged.
