RAINDROP AIR-TRAP MOTHER-OF-PEARL SATIN MINIATURE LAMP, cased white, globular-form font, colorless and frosted applied base with five raised toes, each with pressed rib pattern, matching pattern square-form shade with tightly crimped rim, period collar. Fitted with a Plume & Atwood Nutmeg burner, colorless chimney. Fourth quarter 19th/early 20th century. 8 1/4" H to top of shade, 4 1/2" H to top of collar, 3 1/4" D base.
Literature: Parallels Smith - Miniature Lamps I, p. 240, fig. 600.
Provenance: The collection of Larry Spradley, Beaumont, TX.

Condition

Excellent condition, several scattered manufacturing imperfections including a broken bubble to the font, and shade top edge with some separations/annealing lines all of which have satin finish. Burner deflector with denting and light corrosion.
