Description
Original oil on canvas illustration thought to be for a Camay ad from the 1930’s, done by an unknown artist. The center of attention in the ad is a comely young woman with radiant skin dancing with a handsome fellow. Another tuxedoed gent is apparently “cutting in”. Although the painting is unsigned, the consignor is a former art manager who consigned two other Camay ads last year. Affixed to the back of the painting was a label from the Betty Brown Gallery in Cincinnati who most likely did the original framing. Size is 24 by 28 inches. Unframed and in need of a good cleaning. Stretcher bar marks.
