A Pair of English Two-Arm Argand Lamps, c. 1830-40, attributed to Thomas Messenger and Sons, burner parts marked "J.I. Cox/New York", fluted urn shaped fonts and standards, perpendicular arms with decorative scrollwork, pedestals festooned with masks and foliage, paw feet, raised on plinths, height 20 1/2 in., width 20 in.
