632. Kay Nielsen (8) “Chernabog” concept drawings from Fantasia. (Walt Disney, 1940) Incredible set of eight (8) concept sketches of the “Chernabog” from Fantasia by Kay Nielsen. Nielsen, considered one of the great illustrators of the 20th century, was responsible for the overall look and design of the “Night On Bald Mountain” sequence in Fantasia. Each drawing is accomplished in pastel, on 2 x 2.5 in. black illustration paper. Although small, each sketch exhibits incredible detail and depth.
