Description
Spanish Water jug, thrown in 1882 and decorated by Rookwood’s founder, Maria Longworth Nichols. Bliss in 1904 as well as red museum acquisition numbers. There is faint crazing. This piece is listed in Burt’s as entry number 22 for 1882. Noteworthy for historic as well as aesthetic reasons.
