Item Details
Description
From ancient Colombia, ca. 1100 - 1400 CE. 5-1/4" tall x 5" wide. This figure exhibits the classic attributes of the type, with right hand extended, palm outward. The abstract, minimalist features make examples of this type attractive and desirable. The figure wears a small nose ring, which may not be ancient nor original to the piece. The substance of the metal from which the nose ornament is made is also undetermined, but it is gold in color. Gold content, if any, is undetermined.
