Description
Ancient Central Asia, Indus Valley, Harappan / Mohenjo-Daro civilization, ca. 2700 to 1900 BCE. A set of 2 hand-built pottery bowls, each with a squat foot and a thin rim. The first vessel is decorated with groupings of parallel horizontal stripes while the larger vessel is adorned with large leaves in red and faint turquoise-hued pigment. Size of largest: 4" L x 3.9" W x 2.5" H (10.2 cm x 9.9 cm x 6.4 cm); second vessel: 2.9" L x 2.8" W x 2.1" H (7.4 cm x 7.1 cm x 5.3 cm)

Condition
Each vessel with small nicks, fading to pigment, and scattered earthen deposits, otherwise intact and very good. Nice preservation to original motifs.
