Atlantic, North Carolina, circa 1920s, carved and painted wood, iron nail bill, loosely mounted on wood base with iron stake, published on page 74 of Shorebird Decoys of North Carolina by Kroghie Andresen and Philip Harvey.
Length 8.5 in.
A very important North Carolina folk art form.
