An early hand carved wooden arrow wind directional, probably early 19th century. Normal use wear and overall good condition. Measures 23 1/2"W x 55". Descended from the Reverend James Johnson family, Easton CT (Reverend Johnson, 1734-1810, graduate of Yale University). The Reverend Johnson homestead was constructed in 1760 and has been in the same family for over 7 generations. He was the first minister of the Congregational Church of Easton a position which he held for 40 years. The item(s) identified here, were once owned by the Reverend or a descendant.
