FABERGE, A JEWELLED BOWENITE FIGURE OF A HIPPOPOTAMUS, ST PETERSBURG, CIRCA 1900 carved humoristically in the Japanese taste to depict a standing hippopotamus, the eyes set with circular cabochon rubies, apparently unmarked, in a fitted Wartski case.
