Japanese, Meiji Period (1868-1912), the carved figure of a fisherman holding a fish in one hand and remnants of a fishing pole in the other, a basket of fish at his waist, standing upon a naturalistically modeled base, splits and losses noted, signed in characters on the underside. Measuring 6" high. This lot can not be shipped outside of Canada, Convention on International Trade of Endangered Species apply.
