Potted in cylindrical body, thick, gently tapered to straight close round mouth rim, with deep concave to input the moabi brush, raised with short round foot base. Warm and uniform yellow glaze applied to the surface, only the outer bottom is white glazed. Sgraffito carved with imperial five claws dragon flying careening through cumulus clouds above thrashing Li-shui waves. Yellow is an imperial color in Chinese Dynasty color symbolism, representing power, royalty, prosperity and the earth in traditional Chinese culture.The Under base bears a reign mark, a four under glazed yellow script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.
