JAPAN: FARSARI, Adolfo; et al. A lot of 18 albumen prints. Circa 1880s-90s. Most handcoloured, each mounted to laid paper sheets, captioned by hand. Sheets mounted with plastic corners in mat. Featuring: Kabuki actors, geishas, musicians, courtesans, weaving, religious festival, Iyeyasu's tomb [Ieyasu], great bell in Kyoto, Buddhist temple, etc. At least one print attributed to Adolfo Farsari. Prints: approx. 6.5" x 8.5" - 8" x 11"; sheets: 13" x 14.5"; mats: 16" x 20".
