Description
Huang Shanshou, Ladies under the tree, Hanging scoll. Huang Shanshou (1855-1919). His original name was Yao, his courtesy name was Xu Chu, his nickname was Xu Daoren, his later nickname was Xu Chi Laoren, and he was also known as Li Sheng. He was born in Wujin, Jiangsu Province. The official is directly affiliated with Tongzhi. He was poor in childhood and devoted himself to calligraphy and painting. The calligraphers Tang Li, Northern Wei Dynasty, Zheng Xie and Yun Shouping gained his charm. The paintings include figures, ladies, green landscapes, double-hook flowers and birds, ink dragons, animals, grass and insects, ink plums, bamboos and stones, all of which are perfect. After fifty years, he painted Shanghai and died at the age of sixty-five.
