Description
Zhu Kexin (October 1904 ~ March 26, 1986) Zhu Chang, whose stage name is Kexin, means "those who are humble can learn from others". When he was 15 years old, he became a teacher of Wang Shengyi and became his mentors with Wu Yungen and Wang Baogen. With an open mind and eagerness to learn, he deliberately sought innovation and showed his talent in pot making. Later, after being introduced by Wu Yungen, he was hired as a kiln industry technician by the Jiangsu Provincial Yixing Ceramics Vocational Party School in 1927, where he created purple clay coffee and tea sets. In 1932, he designed and produced the Yunlong Tripod, which was 84 centimeters high. It was exhibited at the Centenary Chicago Exposition and won the special award. Subsequently, his work "Bamboo Tripod" was exhibited at Penglai Market in Shanghai and was collected by Soong Ching Ling for 500 pounds. He was promoted to technician due to his outstanding skills. During the eight years of the Anti-Japanese War, the school was suspended. In 1945, he resumed school and served as a technical teacher.
