Zisha teapot is a traditional Chinese teapot, which is said to have originated from the Song Dynasty to the Zhengde reign of Emperor Wuzong of the Ming Dynasty. The material for making Zisha teapots is Yixing Zisha ore soil. The mud ore is a sedimentary rock, and each color of the ore rocks is stacked. It is composed of scaly purple mud, Benshan green mud, white mud, yellow mud and red mud, collectively called Zisha mud. Because it is produced in Yixing, Jiangsu, it is also called Yixing Zisha. Zisha teapots have a special double-pore structure due to the combination of mud and kiln firing (reduction firing), which can fully ventilate to generate active water quality and change the aroma and taste of tea.
