Zheng Shixuan, A lady, Hanging scoll. Zheng Mukang (1901-1982), famous teacher Yuan and Shixuan, also known as Mukang, was born in Chaoyang, Guangdong Province. When I was young, I was very interested in art and advertising patterns. In 1918, he entered the Shanghai Academy of Fine Arts, focusing on portraiture in sketches. He studied under Feng Chaoran and learned the essence of Zeng Jing's halo dyeing method in the Ming Dynasty. He combined the light and shade method, perspective method of Western painting with traditional meticulous figures into one; he was good at figures. Painting, poetry and calligraphy. The portraits of the ladies are elegant and beautiful in appearance, dignified in manners, and quite expressive.In 1959, he was hired as a teacher of the Chinese Painting Department of Shanghai Art School. In 1960, the Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy was established. Zheng Mukang was one of the first painters hired. He was one of the famous painters in Chaoshan in Shanghai during the Republic of China; he was a member of the Chinese Artists Association.
