The Exposition of Indian Tribal Arts was the first exhibition of American Indian art to be selected based solely on its aesthetic value. It took place at the Grand Central Art Galleries in New York City from December 1–24, 1931. The exhibition featured over 650 historical and contemporary objects from many tribes and was the largest touring Native art exhibit of that time.
