Vintage Sterling Inlaid Malachite Cross Necklace, 24", Mexico Signed TC-63 or 83. This is a large cross that is appx. 3" tall and 1-5/8" wide. It has inlaid sections of malachite on the arms and stem of the cross with heavy sterling dividers and in the center is a green glass star sapphire style oval stone that is appx. 9mm by 7mm. It is appx. 3.5 mm thick. It has a wide swing bail that will accommodate almost any clasp. It is on an appx. 1.5mm box chain, sterling silver with lobster clasp, signed GM and Italy and marked .925. The chain is not original to the pendant. The cross is also marked sterling and both pieces test as sterling with a weight of appx. 33.08 gr. The cross is signed TC and what looks like either an incomplete 83 or is 63 which is often the year. Age would be appx. 1960's-1980's. It is signed MEX and .925.
