Rachel Bentley (American, 1894-1991), Historic Fire House #2, Nevada City, California, Watercolor. Signed "Rachel Bentley '58." Rachel Bentley was a California Historical painter based in Menlo Park, Ca. In the 1950's, she received numerous commissions and widespread local recognition for her watercolor paintings that celebrate the disappearing architecture of the American West. This piece features Nevada City Firehouse #2, constructed in 1861, and located at 420 Broad St. As framed 25.5W x 18.25H x 1.0D in. Sight 21.75W x 14.5H in. All Measurements are Approximate.
